Does your phone support USB-C to HDMI?
Most Android phones cannot send video over USB-C, and no cable or app can change that. Check your model before you buy a cable, then use the app to cast photos, videos and music to any TV.

1. Check the phone
Wired output is a hardware feature
It is called DisplayPort Alt Mode. Galaxy S, Pixel 8 and newer, OnePlus 12 and newer, and Motorola Edge have it. Galaxy A, Pixel 7 and older, and most Xiaomi phones do not.
2. Get the right cable
A plain USB-C to HDMI cable is enough
No powered adapter, no drivers, no Wi-Fi. Any HDMI 2.0 rated cable does 4K at 60Hz. See the cable guide for what to avoid.
3. Cast what you choose
The app shows media, not your whole phone
Plain mirroring puts a small portrait phone screen on a big TV, notifications included. The app plays your photos, videos and music in a full-screen TV layout.
