About USB-C to HDMI
usbctohdmi.com answers one question: can this phone send video to a TV through a USB-C to HDMI cable. It is run by Appcelerator Studio, the developer of the USB-C to HDMI Cast Phone to TV Android app, and exists because most support requests for the app come from people whose phone cannot do wired output at all.
What is here
- A compatibility database of 374 phones and tablets across 19 brands, with 230 individual model pages and 25 series pages.
- Guides for the problems people actually hit: no signal, no sound, black screen on Netflix, 4K flicker.
- A cable guide with no sponsored picks, only the specs that matter.
How the data is checked
Every model carries a confidence label and, where available, a link to the source. Confirmed means the manufacturer's spec or support page, or the GSMArena spec sheet, states whether the port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Reported means the answer rests on reviews or consistent owner reports. Unconfirmed means sources conflict. Currently 319 of 374 entries are confirmed. We prefer to say unconfirmed over guessing, because a wrong yes costs a reader the price of a cable.
What we do not do
- We do not sell cables. Links to Amazon are affiliate search links and are marked as such.
- We do not claim the app can add HDMI output to a phone that lacks it. Nothing can.
- We do not accept paid placements in the compatibility list.
Corrections
If a model is wrong or missing, email support@usbctohdmi.com with the exact model number and what your TV shows when the cable is connected. Corrections usually go live within a few days.
