How to connect the Honor View 20 to a TV

  1. Get a USB-C to HDMI cable rated for 4K 60Hz. A 2 metre cable is the practical maximum. See the cable guide.
  2. Plug the HDMI end into the TV first, then the USB-C end into the phone. Switch the TV to that HDMI input.
  3. The phone screen mirrors immediately, or Easy Projection may offer to start.
  4. Open the USB-C to HDMI app to play photos, videos and music in a TV layout, pick 1080p or 4K, and toggle audio.

Streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video block HDMI output on most Android phones through HDCP. Local files and your own photos are not affected. Details in the black screen guide.
